OUR STORY
Luna's Mexican Restaurant has been a cherished gathering place in the Houston area for decades, offering an open and inviting atmosphere where authentic flavors and family traditions come to life. As a family-owned restaurant, Luna's is not just a place to eat; it's a testament to our family's dedication to sharing our culinary heritage and love of Mexican and Tex Mex food with the community.
We opened the first Luna’s Mexican Restaurant in 1986, in Baytown, TX. Our goal was to deliver high quality, made from scratch Mexican food, showcasing recipes that had been passed down through generations. From day one, we worked hard to ensure our commitment to quality and authenticity was evident in everything we prepared. Luna's quickly became known not only for our made-from-scratch food, but also for our award-winning margaritas. Over the years, our menu, of traditional Tex Mex and Mexican cuisine, expanded to include American favorites, ensuring that every guest could find something to crave. Whether savoring a plate of enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, or a classic Angus beef burger, guests can taste the meticulous preparation and care in every bite. From our first restaurant in Baytown, we have grown to a collection of 4 restaurants and become a staple of Mexican food and catering in Baytown, League City, Texas City and Friendswood.
Our family's presence in the restaurant is as constant as the aroma of freshly cooked food coming from the kitchen. To this day, nearly four decades since opening, you can find us in all four of our restaurants every day. We take immense pride in every aspect of the dining experience, from the preparation and tasting of the food, to the open and inviting, familial atmosphere that envelops every guest. For us, Luna's Mexican Restaurant is more than a business—it’s a part of our family and yours. Our greatest joy comes from seeing familiar faces return, generation after generation, to enjoy the food and hospitality that have become synonymous with Luna's. Each returning guest, often bringing along their own children and grandchildren, reaffirms the Luna’s belief in the power of quality food and drinks to create lasting memories and strong community bonds.
